BloomEra is a thematic network (Coordinate and Support Action - CSA) that moves from scattered know-how to ready-for-practice solutions. It aims to be a valuable instrument that brings together farmers, advisers, researchers and SMEs to collect existing knowledge on innovative cropping systems and transform it into practical outputs such as factsheets, open access tools, inspiring and explanatory videos, and practice abstracts designed for use directly on farms. It will build on existing case studies, using them as examples of good practice to further accelerate adoption.

To develop a knowledge hub for innovative cropping systems in Europe with increased resilience to climate change.

WP1 - UNIBO

To develop economically viable cropping systems by setting up farmers' groups in selected European regions following a bottom-up approach; farmers and industries in specific case studies for developing new cropping systems and value chains that will need upgraded forms of collaboration.

To assess the sustainability and economic feasibility of the innovative cropping systems, creating value for farmers, with sound market products, exploiting all biomass produced, and to develop governance models ensuring the practical feasibility of implementing such cooperation across EU countries.

To cooperate and exchange knowledge with the EIP-AGRI Operational Group projects, supported by the Rural Development Programmes and the CAP Strategic Plans, and to develop useful, applicable, easily understandable and appealing material for farmers and apply a targeted and inspiring training plan.
